Sound Design: Song Editing

This piece was submitted as the first of four projects for the Sound Design course at UVa. The first project was music editing. The purpose of this assignment was to choose an existing song, and edit it down to between 45 and 60 seconds. The edited version should still make sense and flow just like the original, unedited version. The listener should not be able to tell that the song has been edited, and there should be no audible pops or clicks. The original song is “SOS” by Rihanna, and started at exactly 4:00. My final project came out to 0:57 seconds.
