Sound Design: Final Project

This piece was submitted as the final project for the Sound Design course at UVa. The final project was to re-design the sound of a movie clip or music video. The purpose of this assignment was to take everything we had learned over the semester, and use those skills to reproduce a movie clip or music video. For this project, I chose the opening scene of Bohemian Rhapsody. I muted the clip, and recreated all of the audio myself, using Digital Performer. I also chose to use a different backing track (the original was “Somebody to Love” by Queen) in order to change the mood of the scene and add suspense. The final project contained over 60 audio tracks.
